If we have two strings of letters containing 15 characters each and we are trying to see if they are a match. Assume on the first string we can see 8 characters that are correct and in the proper sequence. What is the probability that we have a positive match based on only seeing 8 characters?

@Maple41,
Let's start by looking at a simpler problem. If you were comparing 9 character strings and can see the first eight, what do you think the probability is of the ninth character matching?

@Maple41,
I love guesssing games.

Are there 26 letters with repetition and 7 spaces to fill randomly?
