Today's Drivers and Their Inability to See Motorcyclist

Last night while making a left hand turn on my 1981 Honda CB650 Custom a middle aged white male decided to gun his jeep and I slid in to him. He then promptly waved and hauled ass out of dodge. Now here is my question, why can't anybody pay attention and keep from killing motorcyclist ?

@Questionable,
My husband has had many close encounters with motorists while he was riding his motorcycle. I think people are just not "geared" to see motorcycles or bicycles the way they see cars. Why? I have no clue. Because my husband does ride motorcycles I know to look for them. I am glad that you are okay.

@Arella Mae,
I think you're right. The only drivers who see motorcycles and bicycles are people who ride them. At least motorcycles hardly ever go on the wrong side of the road.

I think ALL two and three wheeled vehicle operators and passengers should be required to wear something like this at all times.
The reflective stripes and bright Public Safety Yellow Hi-Visibility color should make them more visible.

As long as I ever rode motorcycles I always assumed that I was nearly invisible to people in cars and drove accordingly.
