For those in the northern hemisphere, this thread is a tad out of season, but for our Aussie brethren, I hope you can appreciate the warmth of the following artsy designs.

Quote:
While we always wondering is there any better look radiator design around, I came across this exhibition: Totally Rad: Karim Rashid Does Radiators from Museum of Arts and Design (MAD). The exhibition features a selection of modern radiator design that the designers and manufacturers aim to re-examine this everyday object and offer a fresh design perspective. The radiators, while retaining their functionality as heaters, are beautifully crafted and intelligently designed, serving both visual and practical needs in the domestic interior.

Here, we gather 20 (#1-20) of the good design radiator that in production today plus another 5 (#21-25) conceptual design that we feel will shape future direction of radiator design. Just remember, radiator will not be a daily boring object anymore.

Well even on a warm summers day, one can truly appreciate a work of practical art! Cool

@littlek,
This one is great for replacing a traditional NYC apartment window radiator:

@tsarstepan,
Wow!

I have reverse cycle, so any other form of heating is both unnecessary and more expensive.

But I much prefer radiator heat.

Of course, we don't have those steam ones that rely on some sort of furnace...just electric.

@dlowan,
I do miss those haunted and melancholic clicks and clacks that come from those old model steam radiators.

This one is particularly geeky-kewl looking as well!

It's got a tricked out automotive feel to it.
