Has anyone ever seen this play onstage? Or read the book? The ending, I understand, was different in the movie (which I've only seen) than the stage play or the book (which I've never seen nor read). I hear it's a better ending than the movie. Can someone tell me how the stage play or the book ends?
I don't know about the stage version, but in the book our little charmer is not struck by lightning, but alive and plotting to make the world a nicer place for herself.
I can remember a great deal of outrage that the Screen Guild insisted that evildoers must be punished.
