What can I use to remove aged pine sap & grime from my car body? I washed the car with bleach & soap, waxed it, then buffed it. The surface feels rough to the touch. I can't afford to repaint it.

@2carnuts,
My first shot would be the solvent available in the paint sections of auto parts stores. It's the final thing used before spraying the paint. So far as I know, it doesn't damage any type of paint.

Second up would be brake parts cleaner. It's a stronger solvent, and is usually safe to the finsih. USUALLY.

Both are highly flammable.

pine sap is soluable in hot water and detergent. you may however have to work at it.

I suggest you use a cut and polish compound then rewax.

Cut and polish is a buff on buff off compound/paste that comes in various cutting grades. most auto parts stores will carry some.

Buy a product like this. I've also used tar remover to remove chewing gum from my work clothes!
