@dagmaraka,
Stalker is such a chilling and Zen horror film. Andrei Tarkovsky is one of the greatest directors ever.

@djjd62,
I guess that's an example about how differently people see things. I'd never have called Les Triplettes de Belleville "very funny".

Syd 'Cookie' Heylen? You just get weirder and weirder Deej. How do you even know of him? - it's not an extensive CV. Country Practice fan?

@hingehead,
cried like a little girl when molly died

we got A Country Practice and The Flying Doctors on the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) in the late 80's early 90's

the main CBC feed showed american soaps in the afternoon at that time, but because we were a border town a there was a conflict with those same programs being available from the US, a non compete clause effectively, so the local affiliate filled in with various commonwealth shows

we got a few episodes of Richmond Hill, and Neighbours (uggh)

we also got Take The Highroad (Scottish) and a for about a month Fair City (Ireland)
