Best digital art software?

I'm thinking of buying Photoshop CS5. I've used an old pre-CS version of photoshop for years for making digital art. Any thoughts ?

@Arjuna,

If you are going to upgrade Photoshop is the gold standard, but I personally don't tend to notice much between updates given what I use it for (light web design work, I'm no graphic artist).
