As long as we're reminiscing around the campfire...
Back in the summer of '66 every teenage boy who owned a guitar or bass was playing that killer intro to "Dirty Water"

I understand that the song is played after every Red Sox and Boston Bruin home victory Laughing

I'm listening to Garrison Keilor's "Prarie Home Companion" on the radio. It's a rerun -- or "encore presentation" as they like to call 'em -- of a collage of two shows ortiginally performed at Little Rock, AK and someplace in SC (forget what town). Guy Noir just spent some time looking for a batch of bad grits. Well, you hadda be there.

Just listened to half an hour medley by Annie Ross on my local NPR station. The lady is celebrating her birthday today and they did a tribute. Do you realize she was born in 1930 and is still performing? She is fantastic and Lambert Hendricks & Ross had some far-out lyrics in their time.

I'm currently listening to Rick Springfield's "Bop Til You Drop" on Napsterlinks. I've loved this song ever since I first heard it last week. It's so catchy and danceable. This song would play very well in a dance club or something. I also heard another version that Rick Springfield did, but I'm not sure if this version was the first one to be released before the 7" single version came out. What do you guys think of this song?

oh baby! my six cd box of "The Fourth Tower of Inverness" just arrived from ZBS theatre.
http://www.zbs.org/catalog/images/zbs/01jf/FT.jpg

it is the adventures of Jack Flanders! the best radio theatre out there!

Quote:
This classic story is filled with all kinds of teachings, from Ram Dass playing on the Wurlitzer of Wisdoms, to the Tibetan wheel-of-life, to Sufi stories, all woven into a humorous adventure taking place in an old mansion called Inverness. The mansion has three towers, but Jack Flanders has seen a fourth. When he finally enters the tower, he discovers there are various levels, and each level contains another world. Featuring Robert Lorick as Jack Flanders, Valerie Manches as Lady Jowls, Murray Head as Lord Jowls, and M. Fulton as Chief Wampum.
