Do you like Pretzels? What kind and why?
My personal favorite is Gardetto's deli-style mustard pretzel mix. I like the light mustard flavor and they are not too salty. I prefer the very thin type rather than the more bready types.

I like the big bready ones. I haven't had one of those in years.
I like the sour dough ones nice and crunchy.
Picturing Phoenix twisting a piece of meat to look like a pretzel, LOL!
I am off of bread also, but I would eat pretzels if I could.
Hot, fresh pretzels from a cart vendor are the best. mmmmmmmmmm
There are a number of reataurants around here that now make "soft pretzel" rolls in which they put sammich stuff. The soft pretzel is a yeast flour which is washed in an alkali wash before baking to give it a shint brown crust .
There is a brand made in Allentown Pa called UNIQUE . These pretzels are baked to a darker finish and have a slightly burnt taste , they are excellent. we are always sending them to friends in places of the US that dont have pretzel bakeries, like Denver.
auntie Annes is a brand that , started by a farm girl from Lancaster County , has marketed her product as an acceptable Airport snack, and shes opened a number of franchises throughout the US and Mexico
However, she dips her pretzels in butter and , so there youare, rushing for a plane with greasy hands. I have no idea how this dumb idea got popular
I like the kind delivered to the White House.....
I learned long ago about mustard on pretzels. I like the traditional knot-type with yellow mustard. It's good if the mustard is in a squeeze bottle, you can put a thin ribbon on the pretzel. My liking for these is the reason I don't like Gardettos...
