@Fatal Freedoms,
I guess they are depending on socialized medicine to look after their livers.

@Fatal Freedoms,
Seriously, if someone has a failing liver, how long do they wait for surgery..?

@Fatal Freedoms,
No idea what costs are. I've been very lucky with my health.

People can go private if they want over here,and quite a lot of people do,and good luck to them if they can afford it,but i still believe wholeheartedly in the NHS even with it problems.

So, then if legal drinking was at 18, wouldn't the 15 year olds also be looking forward to "adulthood"..?

that's why I say abolish the min. drinking age all togather, Italy is one of the nations with the fewest drinking problems in the world and their drinking is at 16.

@Fatal Freedoms,
I'm pretty sure Italians don't drink a lot of beer. But they're practically born as wine connoisseurs. you'd probably have too arrest a lot of them anyway.

@scooby-doo cv,
as has been stated on here earlier, I dont think modifying the drinking age will have much of an impact on alcohol related problems.

I do understand it is a lot easier in europe to get wasted and make it home safely without breaking the law or hurting someone else, as the public transportation there is miles beyond what we have here.

here in MN the BAC legal limit is .08%, this means pretty much everybody who was drinking at the bar is breaking the law if they have to drive home. the courts are full to capacity every day with DUI cases, it makes you wonder if the lowering of the limit was a financial decision rather than an issue of public safety. full courtrooms = full county treasuries.

@Fatal Freedoms,
Since 18 year olds are going to drink anyway, might as well make it legal :beat:
