God approves of pornography, as seen in these following verses by Solomon as he pondered the female body:
"How beautiful are your feet in sandals, O prince's daughter! The curves of your hips are like jewels, the work of the hands of an artist. Your navel is like a round goblet which never lacks for mixed wine; your belly is like a heap of wheat fenced about with lilies. Your two breasts are like two fawns, twins of a gazelle."
"Your stature is like a palm tree, and your breasts are like its clusters. I said 'I will climb the palm tree, I will take hold of its fruit stalks.' Oh, may your breasts be like clusters of the vine, and the fragrance of your breath like apples, and your mouth like the best wine." - Song of Solomon 7:1-3,7-9
Pretty steamy stuff. It would appear God is indeed promoting a written form of pornography.
@FedUpAmerican,
God or Soloman is promoting?
@FedUpAmerican,
Is the Bible not supposed to be God inspired???
@FedUpAmerican,
Your quoting soloman not God?
@FedUpAmerican,
sounds more like poetry to me, you wouldn't bemoan Shakespeare for saying that
@FedUpAmerican,
Are you saying Solomon WASN'T inspired by God???
LOL!
@FedUpAmerican,
Soloman was pondering not God?
@FedUpAmerican,
The Bible is a collection of writings from many different men. Not God. It's a history book. Don't presume that God wrote it!
@FedUpAmerican,
yeah, everybody knows the only book actually written by god himself is the Koran and the Book of Mormon
*snicker*

In order for God to have written it, God would have to exist and MY BELIEF is that he does NOT. At least in the Christian sense.
From what I keep hearing from some Christians though is that the Bible was inspired by God.
Well, was it or was it NOT?
It's a simple question that requires a YES or NO answer.
Can ANYONE give it???
@FedUpAmerican,
Quote:MY BELIEF is that he does NOT.
So esentually your saying, you have no proof? Do you think it requires faith to have your belief. If not, what do you use to justify in absence of proof?
@FedUpAmerican,
Why can't anyone answer my simple question???
Was the Bible inspired by God or not?
@FedUpAmerican,
IMO it was inspired by Christ.
@FedUpAmerican,
What about the OT?
BTW THANK YOU for answering the question.
Now I will answer yours.
Absence of proof is not applicable when determining NON existance of something. It is impossible to prove something does not exist. Logically, it doesn't make sense.
I would think the burden of proof falls in the lap of the believer. Why is it that you believe in Jesus as the son of God?
I'm not asking you specifically. It is more of a rhetorical question.
@FedUpAmerican,
You believe God doesn't exist. This belief requires no proof yet are's does? Are's require faith but your don't? You as well as we have the burden of proof. Be both have none.
@FedUpAmerican,
Have it your way.
My proof is the lack of evidence as to his existance.
Where's yours now?
@FedUpAmerican,
Like i said, that lack of proof is the basis of your faith.
@FedUpAmerican,
It is the "word of God" as long as it is translated correctly. The Book of Morman is just another testament to the divinity of Christ. Not a replacement of the Bible.

I understand what you're saying but it doesn't make much sense. The lack of proof is because of the absence of evidence.
Do you have ANY???
I would love to see some.

So are you saying that the Bible, being Gods word, was inspired by God?
I thought the translations were inspired by God too. You mean that they're not?
Now I'm really confused.
Please explain and help me understand.
