No. No one is without sin.

Christians just know that and have chosen to repent and ask for God's forgiveness through the sacrifice of Christ Jesus.

so is the road to ignorance, just turn in your brain and pick up your bible

the farther we get from the year 2000 the more and more Americans will wander from Christian Judeo religion, it was the zero barrier of that faith. When the last of the Baby Boomers has passed away years from now I will be surprised if Christianity in the USA hasn't dropped to 50% nationwide (as opposed to 71% in 2005, down from 72% in 2003)

I was at a Christian Fundamentalist wedding over the weekend. They literally spent 20min before the vows going over that for marriage to work the man has to OBEY his church and the women has to OBEY her husband. They gave detailed information about how it wasn't godly for a women to question her husband and the importance of being submissive... even though "we're all equal". Poor girl

That may be your wish. However, it runs counter to your coexist logo. Isn't that a bit hypocritical?

No, you can have it too. Jesus knocks at the door, if you let him in, he will be with you and you will have eternal life also.

@DesertDave,
yeah I saw that, the poll I referred to (which is linked in another thread) concerns how many people claim they are christians, not how many people think the Bible is literal truth (it's literal truth, or rather several portions of it have already been debunked), the 1/3 number you speak of doesn't consider those who still believe but see the Bible in a more metaphorical way.

Where, how, and which "portions" have been "debunked." Please add who "debunked" the Bible to the answer to the question.

@DesertDave,
I have known many old people that were afraid of death and turned to religion late in life in the hopes that all will be forgiven and eternal life would be bestowed upon them by Jesus Christ - even though all their lives they lived as godless heathens. I am speaking of my extended family, of course.

Exploration has stopped-

Humans tend to be stuck betwixt either BELIEVING IN NOTHING OR BELIEVING IN SOMETHING- BOTH WITHOUT PROOF.

@DesertDave,
Quote:
Jesus's teachings? What will you tell your children about Jesus blasting the Pharisees for not stoning their disobediant children as written about in Mark and Matthew. What about when Jesus tells his folowers to rip out their own eye if they look lustfully on a women?

You mean blasting them for being hypocrites.

What you don't understand is that he's not literally expecting you to rip out your eye, it's just that the sin is that serious.

That's cute but that particular concept of christanity is one of the more insulting things you can say about as a perfect and timeless god.

picture it

God creates Humanity because he wants someone to be with, he creates them for that specific purpose.

Then something goes not as planned

They fail to act as designed, but that's okay, God has the entire universe at his disposal, he's gonna make this work!

But they slip further from his grasp, they've become a failed experiment, designed by a perfect being for the sole purpose of having a realtionship with him (but why the design flaw if made by a perfect being?) so god resignes himself to destroy humanity.

but never say die takes over and he saves one family in an act to start over yet again on his failed experiment (which was designed by a perfect being but yet failed)

then later, roughly after 4000 years of trial and error, God finally declares the entire experiment a failure. But he still wants what he came for so he comes down to earth in the flesh and gets himself killed while revealing himself to mankind in one last attempt to turn them around

he does this because his creation simply cannot do what they were desinged for (enter the kindom of heaven). Somehow a perfect being managed to fail at the biggest thing he's ever attepmted so he comes up with some way to grade on a curve after numerous attempts to get mankind online.

step away from your religion and look at it rationally, does failure on that level illistrate the actions of a perfect being?

@DesertDave,
Your assuming alot. How do you know a perfect being didn't intentionally design in flaws? Freewill comes to mind.

What do they say in the south: "how much time ya got buddy?"

In the Old Testament, Yahweh afflicted people with handicaps.

Exodus 4:11 And the Lord said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the Lord?

In the New Testament, we see that demons, not Yahweh, are to blame for a wide range of handicaps, mental illnesses and diseases, ranging from muteness to leprosy. Exorcism, prayer and faith healing (not professional medical attention) are the recommended cures.

Matthew 9:6-7

Note on the above passage: The paralyzed man apparently was affected with paralysis because of his sins. Are all victims of paralysis simply suffering the wages of their sins? If someone gets sick or suffers an injury, is it because they somehow deserved it?

Matthew 9:32-33 As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil. And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.

Matthew 10:1-8 .[1]

Matthew 12:22 Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw

that's just a sampling, the Bible equally misunderstand the cosmos and several other things. Looks less like the word of God and more like a rationalization of acient man to me
