The first time I went I was in my 20's when it first was designated as a clothing optional beach. What I expected and what I found were entirely different. The beach was filled with nude gay men and a handful of middle aged women.

LOL Socal back to nakedness.

I once went a week wearing only my birthday suit. We rented a cottage on a beautiful sandy beach. It was a public beach but the cottage was surrounded with a eight foot high privacy fence. I only donned the Bikini to go for swims, it's very liberating wearing no clothing. When the tide came in the front of the house was summerged under water (was on pylons) and we could open the gate and swim after dark ala nude. One must be careful when barbequeing and operating electric appliances thou.
