Here's an election issue
The Dem's want it, saying we're behind the modern world in providing healthcare to our sick. Countries like Canada have it already, but pay roughly 15% more in taxes to support it.
Who's paying for it? Well honestly the working class and the rich, those who are more likely to use it, the lower class, don't pay much if anything into the system. In that aspect it could be seen as wealth redistribution in sheep's clothing.
What about the working class? Nobody would cry a river if Bill Gates had to pay an extra 15% in taxes, but what about the the family of 5 with an annual income of 75K? They make enough to afford private health care, which is always shown to be superior in countries that offer government health care. But do they make enough to cover their own families costs and the costs of the lower class?
What about illegal immigrants? Should they have access? What about morally suspect treatments like stem cell therapy and abortion? Is it a violation of freedom of religion to expect a devout Baptist to finance government sponsored abortion?
well what do you think?
@Silverchild79,
I vote no
even if it's passed without coverage for Illegals and Abortion it's a step in the wrong direction
America is a country where you do for self, you aren't entitled to a flu shot
@Silverchild79,

@Silverchild79,
