I think it's smarter forthe people who made it to refer to them as gay cowboys. "Gay shepherds" just sounds weird. No gay person wants to see a movie about two gay shepherds, but if it's about gay cowboys...

Gay Shepherds was put down by the bible thumpers against Movies campaign.

Said To call a shphard gay was sacreligious... I dont rememebr I turned the channel.

LOL, I was about to say that it conjures images of Biblical shepherds.

That's a bit over the line though... Shepherds are hardly a religious symbol.

No, shepherds are common occupations for Israelites, I think David was a shepherd, for example. Shepherds were among the first to visit the manger where Jesus was born.
