Today he and his hockey team won the last game in the district title. Now they get to play in the state final. He scored a goal and only got 1 penalty. I am so happy for him and his team. I am going to let him have a sleep over with some of the kids on his hockey team sometime this week or next week.

He doesn't want to talk about the penalty so I am just going to let it go.

What happens on the rink stays on the rink.

@Katrina96,
Tomarrow is his first game. His step dad is going to call in sick to come to the game.

His team won today 2-1. They only have to win 1 more game.

They lost today 4-2. He got a misconduct penalty for fighting. They were tied until then. He just has to win tomarrow to win the state championship.

@Katrina96,
What, if anything, happens if he doesn't win?

@Mame,
Heh. Yeah.

We met Katrina because of her concern about her son, and I'm a little worried that a lot seems to be invested in him winning. Not sure, which is why I asked. But if he loses, will it be tantrum time? Is he prepared for the possibility? Is Katrina prepared?

Who do you suspect would be throwing the tantrum....the son or the mother?

I really don't know but I know if he does lose he and his whole team should be proud of making it this far. Me and his step father are going to talk to him about it tonight.

They won today. His team is having a party type thing on Monday night. They were down 2-0 coming int0 the second period. They scored once in the second and 2 in the third. I am so proud of him. His girlfriend came to the game. He scored the first goal and had an assist. Tonight our family and his girlfriend are going out to dinner
