@ehBeth,
Then it is the one question that asks everything,
I hadn't thought that my one thing could be one everything.
Thank you.

I asked it because I am going to be going to look for God soon and just in case I find It I need to know what needs to be asked?
I may use yours, but God may wish for me to be more specific,
do you have one specific thing you would ask a God or master of knowledge?
one thing that troubles or puzzles you above anything else?

Thanks greatly again,
All my best,
mark noble

@ABYA,
Hi Abya!

Nice to see you.

Is that John the baptist or John the apostle?

Thank you Abya.
Kind regards.

@ABYA,
Because if "John the baptist" then the head is Isaiah. And no prophecy thereafter is relevant. If "John" the revelation is the final prophecy, but I can't see this, unless Christ was saying that the last prophecy of "Man" was with "Isaiah". Ergo, the prophecy of revelation is a prophecy of "Christ" (God) through John.

Any ideas?

Kind regards.
Mark...

Why did you make it so that it's impossible to know whether or not you exist?

@ABYA,
Hi Abya!

I have some devout christian friends. I've asked one already - He's researching it for you. I will give you an answer to this.

Have a great day, my friend!

Good morning sometime sun. I have no question for god, so I can't help you there, but would like to warn you that you might be in for a very long journey if you remember to put fresh batteries in your bs detector before you leave the house. Or a very short one if you forget to pack your epistemological skepticism. As a wise man once said "It is the journey that enlightens, not the destination." Which also means, at least to me, that questions (the right ones) are almost always a better guide than answers. For truth (and god) are like a lizard who leaves its tail in your fingers and runs away. Beware of imposters, my friend...

Thank you Mark
I hope that your keeping well, my friend.
This is a gnostic text, I'm not sure that devout christians have the same inner interpretations of the teachings of Christ.
But I'm very interested in what you can come up with, perhaps I can then put this nagging question to bed.
Best wishes, as always.

@ABYA,
Hi Abya!
I am well, indeed, Thankyou! Are you?

When I say devout, I mean "Having studied EVERYTHING available, in all formats and languages, from all perspectives." Even I study religion at great length, and I'm not even a theist.

Did You get my PM?
Have a fantastic evening, my friend!
Mark.

@sometime sun,
I wouldn't. I'd refuse him and tell him that life is more beautiful without him.

You're taking the piss......right?

No, serously....

That's what I would ask the sadistic bastard. Cos, one thing's for sure, if god does exist (which he does not), a sadist with a sense of humour is most assuredly is what he is.

Hi Sun
I can't see how my answer is going to help you in any way. But here's something that for several yrs I've been trying to understand,its a question that will just not go away.

"The Apocryphon of James"
Then I asked him, "Lord, how shall we be able to prophesy to those who request us to prophesy to them? For there are many who ask us, and look to us to hear an oracle from us."
The Lord answered and said, "Do you not know that the head of prophecy was cut off with John?"
But I said, "Lord, can it be possible to remove the head of prophecy?"
The Lord said to me, "When you come to know what 'head' means, and that prophecy issues from the head, (then) understand the meaning of 'Its head was removed.'

I believe I have the answer to this now, with some help from Mark.
Head = the thoughts and plan of the Creator.
John represents prophecy, and prophesy is the message of the coming of the Messiah.
So, inbuilt into the plan of creation was for a Messiah to come.
John correlates to all the prophecies up to that point about the coming of the Messiah.
As the Messiah had come, there was no need for prophecy about his coming. That part within the Head, the plan of the Creator for the Messiah, had been fulfilled, so was now cut off from prophecy.

I Think?

@Haley Autumn,
To which He may reply, Was it my impossibility or yours?

Great question though;
If you don't mind I would rearrange your question to ask;
Why must your possibility be based on faith rather than anything else?
or
Why must I find you inside myself before I can find you outside yourself?
or
Why are you a personal search rather than a public discovery?

Thank you for your question you gave me a substance to inspect and desire over.
Thank you for your question it has real substance and wisdom.

All my best,

This is brilliant.

What you think he would reply?

Maybe?
In giving it over to you I had to give it up?

@qwertyportne,
Yes I am always a little worried by searching for God and in some ways expecting to find It, I may find the devil.
(The devil is not satan here, it is deception)

Thank you for your words I will take more deliberate care with the steps I take in my search.
Knowing what I am looking for would be a great start.
But I am sure when and if I find It, I will be found.

Have a wide open day.

This is exactly the reasoning in Islam, but then with Mohammed in the role of Jezus...
