Why is there no instant email that someone is following your posts or threads.
Without this valuable tool it is very difficult to see who is interested in ones comments etc etc
@Alan McDougall,
there are e-mail settings in Preferences
http://able2know.org/account/preferences/
@Alan McDougall,
You need to look a little harder
:
Under the link titled
Get Email Updates.
I think he's talking about this from a different perspective. Sounds like he wants a notification for threads akin to the notification we now have when someone is following us. He wants the ability to know who has subscribed to a thread he's authored.
We don't have that part of it as yet.
@Butrflynet,
Wouldn't your email be flooded if you created a popular thread? My god, if I had an email every time someone added to one of my game threads I'd probably slit my throat.
He can just click into his own topics and see for himself. Why does anyone need a notification?
@Mame,
I could be wrong, but I think he's asking for a one-time notification for when someone subscribes to a thread - the same way we get a one-time notification the first time someone clicks on the Follow User button to follow us.
@Alan McDougall,
Why does it matter who is interested in one's comments, etc etc?
I'd prefer NOT to be sent any email reminders at all, simply because when I have time to check out a2k I got straight to the New Posts, then New Topics, then Popular, and finally I'll check out My Posts and My Tags. I feel very well catered for and IMO it can't get much better, for me, but then I am easily pleased.
I have been wondering about a new topic for people who might want to find a "pen/email friend" but those people can always google for a pen friend.. so that's sorted that one out.
I just can't remember if I need to hit the 'reply' button or the 'reply to all' button. Good thing there is no punishment if I do it wrong.
I'd like A2k to send me an email reminder when I'm due to change my A/C filters.
oh....and when to get my car inspected too, I never look at that sticker on my windshield.
