How To Switch Your Brain From Left To Right (Creative To Logical)

Hi all,
Take a look at this and see if you can achieve what is proposed.

http://kuzzi.lifeyo.com/philosophy/

It's a lot of fun - had me stumped for a while. But, once mastered, it's quite an eye opener.

Only the image of the girl and the right hand description are applicable, by the way.

Hope this brings you lots of fun.
Have a brilliant day.

@mark noble,
The only way I can get her to spin counter-clock wise is to look to the right of her...but looking straight on she definitely spins clock-wise. Not surprising.

So bizarre though!

@mismi,
Hi Mismi.
I was told to follow the foot-shadow and imagine it was spinning the other way. I was truly sceptical, because I didn't get it for a day or so.
Thank you for having a go, and replying.
Have a lovely day, Mismi.

@mark noble,
I tried looking at the shadow and imagining it at first - but it just wasn't working...when I looked to the lower right side - all of a sudden it started left...happens every time I look there.

I wonder what that means?

@mismi,
Hi Mismi,
I can switch it at every half-turn or full turn now. After some practice everyone can, so it seems.

As the shadow of the foot revolves you can make it appear to switch directions at its eclipsal point (when it is directly obscured by focal perspective). The dancer follows suit.
Just imagine the shadow foot turning the other way.
You'll have it in no time, I'm sure! I didn't, at first either though.
Best wishes.

@mark noble,
I don't have a problem switching directions almost at will. I can pretty much blink once or twice and get her to switch spinning directions.

@mark noble,
I can get her to go counter clockwise - that is not the problem...
I don't see the need to look at the shadow of her feet to make her go counterclockwise...same thing really.

that was fun...moving on.
You, likewise, have a good day.
Going to go do something.

@mark noble,
For me the image started off rotating counter clockwise, but after waiting a bit it started rotating clockwise.

I can't make the rotation change at will, but if I look away from the image and only glimpse it from the edge of my vision it seems to switch back and forth kind of wildly. Then if I look directly at it again it stays in the rotation I perceived just before focusing on it directly.

It's a very interesting illusion. I remember seeing it years ago, probably on another thread, but I can't remember how I perceived it before.

@mark noble,
That was fun, and interesting.

I got her to change direction immediately by looking at the foot shadow and thinking, "Turn". Just by thinking the word, "Turn" repeatedly, while looking at the shadow, I can get her to keep continuously reversing direction.

It's funny, I felt as though I was willing the figure to change direction each time I thought the word, "Turn".

Thanks for the link, Mark.
That was fun. It took me a few minutes to get her to switch and now I can switch the rotation at will. What is more amazing to me is that this is a part of our reality and it deserves much thought. The implications of this are quite interesting.

@A Lyn Fei,
Hi A Lyn,
I was totally unable to figure it out. I thought it was a scam. The poor lad who put me on to it was quite adamant I should keep trying, I did, and was truly amazed once I mastered it.

The girl seems to switch the direction she is slinging her foot no matter what I do.
A scam.

@Pemerson,
Hi Pemerson,
Then you are using all of your brain at once - try to control it, or you'll end up mad, like me... ha ha.
Best wishes.
