Are you sure he didn't write it exactly how he planned? (With the exception of a couple spelling errors.)

The spelling errors were not a problem. There are many syntax errors. The most important instruction in the riddle was written as an incomplete sentence: "Each his scent."

Don't see what his vs their has to do with anything.

@HexHammer,
Both "Each his scent." and "Each their scent." are incomplete sentences and therefore do not express a meaningful instruction.

Please state the riddle in your native language. Maybe I can construct a translation.

"hver sin duft" is also an incomplete sentence (a verb is needed).

@HexHammer,
No offense intended. I merely point out that a verb would be helpful if you wish to express the riddle in a way most people can understand.

@HexHammer,
Why did the guy go into a coma but the other did not?
Because one had a lot of perfume and it was over killing so he was therefor knocked out.
THAT IS MY FINAL ANSWER! If it's correct it is, if not I will try again.

And how is that? I've provided an example of the adage "to each their own" if that has no relation to the statement "each their scent" then simply say so.
