Hello to all you philosophers..
I'm a Canuck too, from Alberta. I joined abuzz then a2k way back when, but I've been kind of sporadic in my posting over the years. I don't know know much about philosophy but I'd love to learn. Slainte.

Hi Ceili,
The first rule of philosophy is "Come as you are".
Thank you for your greeting, and have a great, everything, always.

The difference, of course, is that I'm right.

No, the difference is that Joe thinks he knows what "I" and "right" mean.

Hello Philies,
fresh blood brings a welcome diversity into a2k and so far it's been an all positive exchange too, despite you being uprooted from your own little world
and thrown into unknown waters where you don't know how deep it runs.
You'll find out!

I am a German expat living in paradise which translates to southern California - the "Wild West" so to speak, thus the moniker "Calamity Jane".

at the ballroom ...

trying to remember what it was like to learn to dance

putting myself back in that place

hopefully it will help me remember what it felt like to be young and earnest

(and in the meantime I'll work at not sticking my foot to trip young and earnest dancers)

@failures art,
Apparently not the way some philosophize. But then, not everyone says things at random either.
