Fair enough if you can cite a few examples of unworn seat belts causing accidents.

...for the purpose of being a contrarian just for the fun of it, if nothing else a seat belt is a well felt reminder that you should be careful at al times when driving...not using it can bring into a state of relaxation that can prone you to be careless... Wink

Actually, I like the security of a seat belt, and the designs are much better than a few decades ago. Especially, I find it hard to drive when bumps and curves move me to the wrong side of the car. You may have better roads where you are.
