Is the boat a ferry boat?
Yes, NZ. Very good. Now, which city/river/lake? Extra points for naming the boat.
Queenstown, NZ
Lake Wakatipu
TSS Earnshaw?
margo, Right. It's Queenstown. And the boat is TSS Earnslaw.
Looks to me like you have it margo, congrats
This boat takes visitors to Walter Peak, a running farm with sheep, buffalo, and raindeer. They gave us a demonstration on how dogs work with the sheep, and how fast they can shear the sheeps fur. While at Queenstown, we stayed at a hotel for two nights by the lake, and was hosted one night at a private residence by the lake. The couple also hosted the five of us for dinner. The tour company had an optional tour to Arrowtown, but I did it on my own by taking the public transportation. While at Arrowtown, I purchased a large original oil painting which I'll post to show you what I bought. The Chinese artist is from Shanghai. His works have been purchased by banks and international visitors. He was educated in Shanghai, but also taught art at the university in Shanghai at the teacher's college. He also won an international artist award, and was recognized in a international art magazine.
The frame size is 40X48 inches.
The artist's name is Ping Wang.
Interesting that a Chinese artist would do a rendition of something from "the old west".
*wonders where margo went*

Went home from work, and started to watch the Australian Open tennis on tv. Marat Safin was leading Andy Roddick 2 sets to 1 when I came in here to post my pic! And now, I'm going to bed....but first....
Name the city and the river?
Northern Europe, Margo? It looks a nice spot for a quiet drink but may be cold - or am I influenced by our weather here?! Hope youhad a beaut Australia Day btw
It is Europe - but not north, I don't think - depends on where north starts! It's north of Sicily!
