Dang! I knew he would get it. Congrats c.i. Smile

The Muttart Conservatory is a little oasis in the heart of Edmonton, especially in the middle of winter!

Please visit here to read more about it! Smile

caprice, We passed through Edmonton on our trans-Canada train tour last August. Didn't spend much time there, but remember the 'clean' look of the city. We had a short stop, just long enough to hop off the train for a few minutes to stretch our legs. Wink

There's a special significance to the boat in the background.

I'm not even sure where the train travels in the city anymore! Do you know where you were dropped off?

I've often heard Americans describe Canada as clean. Smile Did you make it to Vancouver? I haven't been there (outside of the airport as a connection point) in years. Gotta wonder how it's changed in the last 18 years.

Our stop was on the outskirts of the city. I've been to Vancouver several times. Although there are more high-rise buildings in Vancouver, Gastown, Chinatown, and most of the downtown areas are still the same except for some new developments. One unique situation at Vancouver airport is that the US has our customs at the airport. We were lucky, because when we flew back from Vancouver to Los Angeles, we got Business class seats with all the extras. Wink

That reminds me. As much as I have traveled in the past, 2003 was my 'lucky' year in air travel. When I went to Machu Picchu and the Galapagos in May, our group was given first class seats from Guayaquil to the Galapagos - round trip. Then on our return trip from Canada in August, we got Business class seats.
