a theater
in Italy

not in Rome
not a sports arena
not a parliament
not a church
not a courthouse
not in a movie that I know of

I've seen it, for about five minutes. Way too short!

It had better not be in Milan, because that would mean I missed it on my visit there! LOL

Yes, Drom, it is. Theatre Farnese in Palazzo Pilotta. I got there as the gallery in the palazzo was closing, and only had a minute to run around the corner and look into the theater. I have to go back to Parma! Parma, Parma, rounds of parmigiano cheese, wonderful culatello di zibelli ham, oh, oh, and chocolates made with Parma violette. Lovely colors on the buildings. Beautiful baptistry. Correggio on ceilings...

The reason I was late to the gallery (chiuso!) was that I was stuck in a post office line. "Buh!!" said my new friends in line, every one disgruntled.

Parma in April.

It's beautiful, Osso: as someone once said, the best reason for learning Italian is Italy itself. I was in Parma only once; it was a connection that I had chosen on the way from Rome back to Paris. Unfortunately, I had only a few hours there after looking through guides for months- in which I saw something like that photo, but wasn't 100% sure- which was dissapointing. Still, I'll go back too.

Teatro Farnese: A name I must remember - if my senility doesn't take over before my next trip to Italy.
