Yikes - had another look - could be snow!
But those white buildings are usually found more in the south. Got no idea, now!

I know! My first reaction was Greece. But then I saw what looked like snow. I knew intellectually that Greece has snow but I'd never seen a picture of it!

Yep. looks like snow. That's why I asked "Within an hours drive of mt. Olympus?"

Q: Within an hours drive of the Bulgarian border?

I thought it might have been a bad paint job...

so did I tell you about the time I came back from a walk in Roma, slogging again down the grass of the circo Massimo, down another six blocks, up four more, up, up, up, go through the iron gate, trudge... lurch, trudge, and look up and there, there - they've painted the shutters!!!! Not only were the shutters a vibrant dark green, so was the surrounding wall, a giant green blobbo to remember Rome by.

yes, but only a shirt?

I think c.i. has done a runner! It's not bedtime in California yet, is it? Perhaps he's having dinner - I'm just finishing lunch and back to the grind!
