You're right... most of history stinks, doesn't it? People dying from dread disease or killing each other or enslaving somebody else, or torturing 'em, or stealing from 'em, or kicking 'em off the land. We humans... our history is embarassing.

Yes Piffka, it is, which doesn't really stop us from rehashing
history over and over again in the hopes we won't make
the same mistakes again. Well, history has repeated itself
already numerous times - thus, nothing learned!

Can you see the picture now Piffka? It is China, yes>

Could it be "Just Us"?

Quote:
A gorgeous sculpture has found a home in the Chinese capital, the first work by a Western artist to go on permanent display in Beijing.
"Just us," a six-ton stainless steel sculpture designed by British artist Richard Deacon, has been placed in the lobby of Ocean Plaza, a new office building on Chang'an Avenue in Beijing.

Still trying to find a photo... not that many pieces of Stainless Steel Outdoor art in China.

No it's not this one Piffka, but my sculpture is also in
Beijing, at a Park (I forgot the name now Embarrassed)

But Beijing is sufficient for me.

No definitely not Henry Moore. WE have a few pieces
of Moore's sitting outside our Museum of Contemporary Art -
I like his sculptures a lot.

Well... it is a big city -- lots of art, most likely. Did you find the sculpture photo online? I was beginning to think I was going to have to try to translate the word sculpture into Chinese.

I think I need to find a soft pillow now. I'm getting very sleepy... I was up at 5. G'night, Jane.

Good Morning! This is from one of my favorite artists and a painting of a famous place. Can you figure out where?

It is and it is and you are there! I suppose it looks just a little different.

Do you recognize this other major monument then?

Haha, these are the true players. Francis sitting in an internet cafe Wink

Are you having a good time? How's the weather?

---

Piffka, it's even a better idea to not tell of the painter as
it is too easy to find the picture, once the artist is known.

I'll post a picture for Francis.....
