Well, it was Nagaland - town of Kohima and the obelisks are in ancient Khonoma right nearby.

Well, I have one more, if you wish. Probably also easy because of the people that live there. Can't help it, that's the stuff I am drawn to. Here are two pictures...

The first one was taken sometime in the 1940s, when Czech travellers Hanzelka and Zikmund - a famous duo that published tens of books and hundreds of docummentaries and articles- went through there. They were also good family friends of ours, so I followed their path, well in retrospect, but many of my geographical interests are sparked by their travel diaries. The second photo is more recent. The first these people heard from 'civilization' were explosions during the second world war. Come to think of it, this is going to be very easy. Anyway. Here it is.

of course, Tatra, that's what they travelled in. All around the five continents. In the fourties. They were one of the first ones to travel around the world in a car.

Damn you, satt. You are right again. I suppose there aren't many 'tree people' left in the world. I love that they drag their dogs up to their houses, osme 30-40 feet up!

As a reward, here's a picture of that fine automobile H&Z travelled in. But it is your turn now, really.

The object in the next photo may be very famous.
Anyhow, where it should be?
(And if you could, specify what it would be.)
