It's a theater where we were treated to a show.

Neither one of those Equus.

It is a fairly small community on the Volga river.

Hmmh, 'googling' I found a lot of nice places "north of Moscow" already.

Narrowing this to 'Wolga' seemed to be a good idea, but ...

[corrected the above - to many typos, even for me  ]

Gee Walter...I have the feeling (I hope! *L*) that you are teasing me! Wink

Okay...some clues without giving it away, perhaps?

As mentioned, it is a small town north of Moscow and on the Volga River. It is considered to be in the "Moscow Region". I'm assuming that refers to the geographical region. It is a community best known for its role in a particular type of science. In fact it is self-described as internationally known for its contributions to this science.

Sorry for the multiple posts, but I have to say that this particular thread has led me to learn more than most of the other threads combined!

With each new image, I am almost always sidetracked as I make discoveries about another area of the world. When I have to post an image, I invariably learn quite a bit about a place I have never been to. On top of that, I also find there can be other significances about a place that aren't necessarily related to travel, but are learning experiences nevertheless. Such as the case with this particular place. Smile
