Hello, film buffs; I'm baaaaaaaack. It's been 3 days since I posted the first quote Laughing ! But, seriously, someone provide feedback on what I need to do to find someone who's actually seen this movie!! Oh, well, when we wake up tomorrow, Craven may have made it yesterday anyway, so I'll just wait a bit unless someone actually responds . . . please, someone respond Twisted Evil ...

How is it possible, though, that I have never even heard of this film? What some people on this forum refer to as a masterpiece, flew completely under my radar. I suspect it was originally released into certain markets and wasn't where I live. On the same topic, who has heard of "Bend it like Beckham?"

I've heard of Bend It Like Beckham, but haven't seen it.

Antwone Fisher was in limited release at the end of 2002 so it could be considered for awards, and opened wider in January of 2003. It's already out on DVD.

Bend in like Beckham may not translate to a US audience as it is about our national game- football.

Oh well see if you can guess this quote:

"This is nothing, Wait'll you've worked with a movie star, one time, this is nothing, we keep him shot-up and happy "

Very Happy

thx, Booman, but don't I have to wait for Hiama to confirm before I post another quote? I promise it won't be as difficult as the last one turned out to be . . . Yoo hoo, where are you, Hiama?

With all due respect to Hiama, as the Kinks would say: "so tired, tired of waiting, tired of waiting for you...", along with Booman's and my certainty of the accuracy of "Wag the Dog"; let's see if I can get away with just posting another quote . . .

What did you expect? "Welcome sonny," "Make yourself at home," "Marry my daughter." You've got to remember, that these are just simple farmers, these are people of the land, the common clay of the new west. You know . . . morons.
