Yes, a policewoman asks it of a policeman after they briefly interview Jennifer Jason Leigh's character.

You have to guess a quote before you can put in one of your own. Lightwizard is up next.
"What's the matter, sir...You wounded?
What is it, Sergeant -- a bullet or an arrow?"
You're stumped on this one?
Yep. I'm stumped and yet it's familiar.
OK. Fishin' for a clue:
Blazing Saddles
Fort Apache
She Wore a Yellow Ribbon
For some reason I'm thinking that the wounded person isn't wounded at all, but perhaps broke his whiskey bottle?
Hallelujah Trail?
You are warm in that it is a John Wayne picture. It's the last line in the movie.
No, not Rio Grande. I realize there's a pretty lengthy Western filmography for Wayne. I always thought that this performance and the one in "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon" were his two best. "The Quiet Man" is too dull a movie -- charming but dull.
I'm not a John Wayne fan, but I've probably seen all of his movies. I liked him best in "Red River", and The High and the Mighty.
Well, if it's one of his best roles, it certainly isn't the "Conqueror". (lol)
I'm guessing now and yet I think I saw that movie.
hmmm.
The Comancheros?
"Red River" is the third favorite on my list.
I guess I can consider "The Conquerors" as a title even if it is an anti-guess!
This film featured an actress who was also an expert at throwing pies.
hmmm. Throwing Pies? Well, it's not Stagecoach and I can't think of any others where they were the last lines of the movie. I'll have to think a bit longer about this one.
Oopps, I should have said "good at throwing pies in another movie." This is also the Wayne movie which most often shows up on movie critic's top ten films.
LW: Your hint makes me think of Natalie Wood in the Great Race and she was in "The Searchers", but I haven't been able to connect "last line" with "The Searchers". But, I'll ask anyway. Is it:
The Searchers
Oh my goodness! I remember Wayne walking out of the house alone at the end of the film, but I don't remember who spoke those words.
OK. New quote:
"In the old days they used to put your eyes out with a red-hot poker. Any of those bikini bombshells you're always watching worth a red-hot pocker?"
Too Easy? Yes to Rear Window. I love Thelma Ritter.
I can hear Ritter uttering that line to Stewart now!
New clue:
Seein's how you're about as thick as a used string of unwaxed dental floss, don't know how you can criticize.
"Wild at Heart" starring Nicolas Cage.
