Brazil it is.
You're up Brandon.
Person A: How do I know this is your horse?
Person B: Can't you see this horse loves me?
Person A: I had a gal do that to me. It didn't make her my wife.
Equus, are you still to be counted amongst the living??? I believe it's youre turn. :-)
Oops sorry. I haven't checked in 'cause I didn't think Silverado was right.
I may have a word or two of this wrong but this is pretty close:
"They're trading guns for water! Come on, here it is, drink all you want. Come and get it. That's it. Here it is. Drink til it runs out of your ears. Drink til you split your gut."
This was just on a cable channel recently.
Hint: (but this should be apparent) It takes place somewhere where water is hard to come by.
Second Hint: the character speaking does not believe there is any water available. He is wrong.
Not Ishtar. It was a better movie than that.
It was made in the 1940's.
Treasure of the Sierra Madre?
Not Treasure of the Sierra Madre.
You're on the wrong continent...
Sahara
Sirocco
Lawrence of Arabia
Sahara is correct!
Humphrey Bogart & about half a dozen pals are holding a Saharan oasis against an entire German division. At the end, the thirst-crazed Germans throw down their guns and surrender to Bogart. Bogart thinks there is no water for anyone, but a German mortar shell in the final barrage scored a direct hit on the spring and suddenly there is a gusher of water for everybody.
Compare this spring with the spring in John Wayne's "Three Godfathers", when a guy dynamites the desert spring and winds up closing it up for good.
Aaah. My first thought was "Sahara", and even though it's been a long time since I've seen it, I should have remembered that scene. It was a gem. I must admit I don't remember that scene from "Three Godfathers", but I've seen the movie listed on cable and will try to catch it next time.
I'm going to be out most of today, and don't want to delay the game. I pass my turn to the next taker. Thank you.
I'll take it!
"Is she really Princess Not-so-bright or is she pretending?"
No, it's not. Buttercup was rather intelligent.
