thanks for this thread! almost nothing makes me laugh, but i used to watch their tv show and they are hilarious.

What do you find so serious that almost nothing makes you laugh?

it isnt really that i find things serious, i just dont have much of a sense of humor i guess. i really envy people who laugh a lot and can make jokes. about the only thing i think is really funny is death, i joke a lot about dying. i guess that is why monty python appeals to me-they are so outrageous and impious, but in such a clever way.

british humor is the funniest to me, there was s series of old movies called 'carry on' which i thought were funny, too. but i thought benny hill was vulgar and less cerebral-too slapstick.

jon stewart on the daily news is also great though, forgot about him.

Oh man, making fun of crap is the only way I can get through the day. I find humor in almost everything.

i have to spend some time some day downloading these so i can watch them. i saw the name of this one and it cracked me up due to some of the discussions that have been lately on the forum about etiquette and rules. i havent seen it-hope it's a good one!

Just google Spike Mulligan and you will find their inspiration.His my comic idol, a bit dated but he definitely influenced Monty..The Irish Olympics mirrors their football game.

Mine too, he's great.

Why i wrote mulligan instead of milligan i dont know.The daleks sketch is brilliant,his shows brought me to tears of laughter.
