Recovery from pneumothorax

My husband had pneumothorax last week, with 80%of his right lung collapsed. they put a chest tube. the day after, the x ray looked good so they discharged him. it has been 1 week now and he is doing better. still, I noticed he is often tired and listened with a stethoscope he has reduced breath sounds. also it seems his breath capacity is still down. is that normal part of the recovery period?
