My CV boot has a hole in it and don't know if it is worth getting a do it yourself quick boot or getting the whole darn thing replaced. Any advice?

@the red tank,
a split boot is easy enough to do.

if the joint is not making noise when you turn, it would be worth doing.

especially if you are not capable of changing out an axle shaft by yourself.

@Rockhead,
It doesn't make noise when i turn but it sounds like there might be a little bit of stuff in there? Guess it wouldn't hurt to at least get a new boot with some lubricant on there. What kind of noise should i be on the look out for?

@the red tank,
it will clack and knock when you turn corners when it goes.

clean it really well, and fill it with proper grease.

@Rockhead,
Thanks for the help. At the moment it growns when i turn corners sometimes, think that's my steering. But i will be listening out for knocks and clacks.
