Car wouldn't start so got Starter Motor rebuilt, had same problem again so Auto electrician sent me to get new battery, car worked for 2 weeks, then after been parked overnight, wouldn't start again. Totally flat at first, then 20mins later, had some charge but not enough to start motor.
@kidski,
take your car to any auto zone store. They offer free diagnostic.
Have your battery checked. If it is drained then you know to look for a short.
@kidski,
Could be the alternator. The alternator is supposed to charge the battery. The alternator does wear out quite often.
To check for spark, remove one spark plug wire, and stick a screwdriver in the boot until it wedges against the terminal inside. Hold the screwdriver 1/4" away from any metal surface of the vehicle while a helper cranks the engine (do not touch any metal surface while doing this). If there is no spark jumping between the surfaces, check or replace ignition module in the distributor. Also check the distributor cap and rotor for carbon tracking.
