@Setanta,
We know why you're up. I generally have to get up about that time of night myself. But after a visit to the lav I usually have no difficulty going back to sleep for a couple of hours more. (9:12 p.m. here in the middle of the Pacific Ocean; too early for bed for me.)

@Lustig Andrei,
Well, you got that in one . . . but in addition, there is a small, elderly girl dog with the same problem, who can't open the door. So i came downstairs to let her out. I'm back to bed very soon.

@Setanta,
Just as well it's simultaneous.
Minimal inconvenience! Smile

6pm, Saturday, Melbourne ....

It's pitch black outside.
And it's cold.
My cat is insisting on her dinner.
OK, OK!
I think I might take to my bed with a book after my dinner.
What a tempting thought!

@msolga,
Oddly, on bed rather than in it is where I am.....reading same book industriously.

@dlowan,
Its 6AM EDT and Im getting up to the strains of "Jingle Bells" from a novelty clock we bought as a Xmas decoration but never took down . It really keeps that holiday spirit all year. Think Ill shoot the fuckin thing and go back to bed.

Don't shoot it!
Only 7 months to go till Christmas*! (after this month, that is.)
Then it'll come in handy again!

(*What a truly shocking thought! Shocked )

@farmerman,
Rip it apart with your bare hands. It's more personally satisfying.

IT'S 1:12AM in SF. We fell asleep a few hours ago, and I woke up. It's been a wonderful day. I remember looking at him today, and said the spaciest, un-me thing I've ever said. "I don't want today to end."

I'm sorta glad I woke up and got a chance to extend it just a bit. The moon was enormous... Let me go look for it.

@Lash,
6.13 I hope that's not an un-lucky number.

Rabbit is locked up, little dog is fed and sleeping, cat went off his tree let me out and so be it.. Two more dogs to be fed, at 6.30, ground hog day, sigh, love, day and night same thing... Diabetic dog will do that but alas beautiful is the husky...

Cooking chicken drum sticks in chinese wine, soy and honey with pine nuts and bok choy and mushrooms, a glass of wine in hand, fire is on, darling is not home, is working sigh.... Tomorrow is a better day .................

It's 7:18 pm CST (China Standard Time) and the lights of the Shanghai are outside my window but I need to write a presentation for tomorrow instead of going out for ice cream.

@engineer,
Damn.
The ice cream sounds so much more appealing!
Please tell us about Shanghai after you've had the chance to get out & about & have a good look, engineer.

Sunday, 10:10 pm, 6th May ....

Sitting here drinking a big mug of tea after a busy day washing (clothes, dishes, etc.) & cleaning ..... contemplating an early night.
After getting everything spick & span in the kitchen (finally) , it seemed a shame to mess it up all over again, so I opted for bacon & eggs on toast for dinner. Easy.
A bit lazy I know, but it was surprisingly good & involved next to no washing up after.

My cat wants me to play outside, but it's too chilly. Sorry, Poppy.

Feeling very pleased that I don't have to get up at the crack if dawn tomorrow morning.

@msolga,
Coming closer by the second to 9 a.m. not much going on here right now.
Need to clean out the closet by the door. Noticed an old sweatshirt I thought was long gone, must find out what other goodies are in there.

Later I should call the guy who rightly predicted yesterday's Derby winner.

4:1o pm, Monday 7th May .....

I've spent most of today tidying up my house, while A2King at the same time ...
Making the most of my 3 day weekend to get as much done as possible.
I want to make my little nest as cosy & as inviting as possible, before the REALLY cold weather sets in.
Then I'll happily hibernate, cooking lots of soup & reading lots of books, till the coast is clear to come out again in spring! Smile
