@msolga,
No long weekend for the Canadian crowd. Ours was last weekend. Victoria Day - The Queen's Birthday.

I'm waiting for Set to surface so we can go out to Harvey's for a burger. Gotta coupon - gotta use it up.

We've been doing some garden pruning today - in the shady areas of the yard as the sun moves around.

Laundry's done. Hooray!

12.45pm Monday 31 May 2010 - Sydney.

Sun! Sun??? Raining yet again - and expecting more all week. Feet are webbing as we speak! Confused

At work - chowing down on some of yesterday's leftovers - chicken with dates and almonds, with couscous.

Interesting to see Bethie's temperture range - I have to say anything below O degrees C is just too cold to consider. Bring on the 20 -30's.

@margo,
I've worked at 105, but I prefer not to. And certainly not lately.

Took two ****-loads of junk to the dumpster. Put a new spark plug on the lawn mower. Time to rest. Mow tomorrow.

@edgarblythe,
7.21 am Tuesday.

About to leave to go to colleague's place so that we drive together to Port Pirie (a regional centre) to deliver some training, then drive back.

Weird day.

No commercial aircraft fly to Pirie any more, since the front fell off the company providing the service.

There's burning smell and a smoky haze in the air.
It's coming all the way from Quebec.

@dlowan,
8:07, Tuesday 1st of June, Melbourne, Oz:

Morning, Deb. Have a good trip.
Good morning, everyone.

Good to have a sleep-in. I was only booked up for work for Monday & Thursday this week & have decided to take today & tomorrow off. Been feeling a bit under the weather for around a week now, so it seemed a good idea.
Fell asleep on the couch while watching television last night & woke at a bit after 2 am ... only to discover an old b & w film about the French Foreign Legion was on the ABC! With a glamorous female spy, plus the fellow whose heart she broke (which was why he'd joined the Legion) ... fascinating! I wonder if they got back together? Very Happy
Would have slept longer this morning, but the garbos woke me .. which reminded me .. I hadn't put the garbage out last night. Oh well. Never mind!

3:00 pm in most desirable southern California
The beaches are full to capacity. When I dropped off my daughter at the
beach to meet up with her friends, police was everywhere to direct traffic -
all parking lots were filled up by 10 am and surrounding areas were full as well.
I wonder how it will be when I pick up the kid again.....

Lots of memorial services are conducted around here, and people come in by
the bus loads to attend. I can hear them from my house...
