4:50 pm, Sunday afternoon on the golden coast,
still very windy and rather cool outside. I survived the teenage shopping spree at "forever 21" and I am utterly grateful to be home now. I am laying on the sofa with my laptop and relax....

7:32 here in Tulsa, OK...and still too warm.

Slept in my nap chair most of the afternoon. One of my favorite ways to spend a Sunday. Couldn't plant all the new bloomies today because it was 90 degrees out there...will have to wait until tomorrow morning. Looking forward to fresh salsa at dinner in a little while. Hubby and SonofEva used up more of the good, locally-grown tomatoes they found the other day. They love making salsa together.

@Eva,
8:48 p.m. in Toronto

Too stinking hot and humid for my liking.

The morning was nice. Took the dogs to the beach for a long sashay. Miss Cleo had a good swim in the off-leash area and Mr. B met quite a few dogs. Both of them had fun wiggle-butting with a little pug called Sumo.

Meant to go for a mani-pedi, but decided I was too hot to go sit in the salon.

Just got off the phone from a chat with hamburgboy.

One more day in this first long weekend of summer. Beer is traditional, but I've decided to have a Diet Pepsi instead. It's been years since I used to drink it regularly. I forgot how tasty it can be.

I'm copying (shhhhhhhhh don't tell anyone) copies of the music for our next dance gala.

@ehBeth,
10.40am Monday beyond the Black Stump in Sout Australia. Cool crispy morning and I have just been for my walk along the Esplanade, stopped at my favourite coffee spot and had a hot cappuccino. Now home and pottering around the garden for a while.

I swear, it's freaking cold outside - 56 F Shocked
We watched a nice heartwarming movie though "Something's gotta give" with
Diane Keaton and Jack Nickolson - such a nice movie. Just finished dinner,
just a salad with garbanzo beans, roasted peppers and feta cheese.

4:45 pm, Monday 24th May, Melbourne Oz:

A shocker of a day. I taught all trade classes. I think things went off the rails with year 10 Automotive. (All boys. "Yo, Miss!") They had to do a theory assignment! Shocked They were not pleased! A double period, started with a roasting from the coordinator. Apparently they'd robbed a teacher last week Shocked & thrown things around the room, and .....
I'm not going to say any more about me & da boys. Let's just it say it was challenging but I did alright. Little devils!
The rest of the day was a wee bit better.
Tomorrow had better be better! Neutral
It's good to be home.
Ms Poppy is delighted, too: Dinner! Smile

@msolga,
MON MAY 24 9:00 AM 11PM MELBOURNE TIME
I think that by reffing your time zone gives you a sense of the time that I wrote this. Otherwise its just a single time thing and Im not that smart that I know the times of the world. I hadda get used to adding 14 hours to my time to even think about what part of your day are we talking about.

Shitty day again. Hay is just laying wet in the field that I didnt finish so its gonna rain the next 2 days. DAAAMN. When hay gets et and needs to dry out from the ether, it gets like tobacco and is fairly low oin nutritional value. Im gonna have about 20 acres worth of crap.

BUT we did get in about 40 acres of really good hay. The barn smells like a field of sweet woodruff . I love to go up in the barn and just stand there and smell the hay. Its a real summer farmer treat.
Those of you in cities dont know what you miss with little things like this.
Another thing is getting our hay loads into the barn and unloaded (we have AMish kids that we hire to help in the unloading and stacking of bales). I love to get the hay into the barn just ahead of some thunderstor. It gives a feeling of food security for our livestock for another year . Nothing like having full control over your personal security. Its a farm thing thats hard to explain to civilians.

g'night Msolga.

@farmerman,
Makes sense to me!

Re: time zones, I'm assuming that most people have their settings so that the time stamp indicates when the post was made, your time. I just cross-reference off of that.

It's 9:04 AM today, kid's off to school, going to meet my friend at the gym soon. Tons to do. I always breathe a sigh of relief Monday mornings, though. Weekends are always crazy, weekdays (as long as there is still school) are when I can relax and accomplish things. TGIM.

The sun is out in full force, blue sky and no cloud in sight - such gorgeous weather sweetens a Monday morning. The kid is already in school and I am
getting ready for work. Lilly dog is laying there and soaking in the warm sun.
In my next life I'll become a dog....

Uploading my some hundred RAW-files from the CompactFlash, with photos from the days Brittany (one week ago) and Holland (yesterday) ...

Just remembered it's garbage collection day. Rushed out in my pajamas & deposited bin in the street. Made it in time! ... Rain overnight. Everything is wet out there.

@Dutchy,
Just after 6 p.m. on Victoria Day Monday here in Toronto.

First heat alert of the season. 28 celsius, with a humidex of 34 celsius. I find this beyond unpleasant. 20 celsius is about as warm as I like daytime temperatures to get.

We had a quiet day. The public health authorities suggested that anyone with health problems not go outside in the middle of the day. The dogs are getting old, and one of Set's feet is verra verra swollen up, so inside it was. I did some fine puttering, and watched a couple of cooking shows - sort of.

We'll try to get out after dark, but as there will be fireworks the little old girl dog will not be happy.

@ehBeth,
eastern lake ontario - 6:30 pm
...............................................
still 29 c - about 85 f ?
wanted to go for a walk but found it more comfortable inside - not as humid -
perhaps wait until after sunset and feed the skitters

it's several degrees cooler in the rec-room - that's always an escape option

came home from yoga at 7:30, dead headed a bunch of flowers in the garden, met the new neighbors across the street.

while gardening, wally made me a toasted turkey and swiss sammich on pumpernickel, with tomato and cumcumber slices.

nice.

Just got home from a job interview at a gaming place.. The prospective job was for a slot attendant.

Not sure how it's all going to turn out. They're not deciding until mid-June.

Been unemployed a year since last April now.
