I have a sound redwood front porch & steps with risers, but it is ugly against my stucco house. I'm in snow country, and it is exposed. Can I install a 9/16" wonderboard type material over the existing redwood, then cover with exterior ceramic tile?

@JackB,
If you're in snow country, then you must be in frequent freeze-thaw country. That's not great for tile and/or grout lines. Is it painted or stained redwood? If it's the latter why not try a deck renewer and then a high quality stain. It's a shame to my mind to cover up redwood.
