There is a ruin of an old mill along the Jordan Creek and, last weekend , on an eagle walk, we finally found the ruins. Its been long lost and was supposed to be where Indians would take their grains to be milled into flour during the early 1700's (before the Revolution). Im gonna hike over there regularly with my metal detector and EM to see whether any metal artifacts can be found. Years ago, in another location I found a skanky little leather bag containing a bunch of gun flints, all were crafted to fit the pan on a British long gun(the PA long rifle used slightly narrower flints).
Getting to the mill takes me through some rather dense woodlands with a tangled understory (hence no deerhunters because deer havent grazed this area , something keeps them away). So its a good 3 mile hike back and forth to the car
