I have vertical strips gold and red curtains with some solid goldish curtains...What color should I paint the bedroom walls? Small room but a lot of light.

Next Question, I have a gold coach.. I am thinking of painting my living room and dining room a blue color... Any other color ideas for the walls... The living and dining room flow together but I was thinking stripes of blue in the dining room and solid in the living room.. The blue will only be a shade or two lighter or darker.

@DMC,
Hi, DMC, welcome to a2k. Some of us enjoy talking about decorating questions..

it would help if we saw a photo of the curtains and couch. Do you know how to post those? Basically, you submit a photo/photos that you have managed to put on your computer either by digital camera transfer, or scanning one of your photos, and add them to a site such as imageshack or photobucket (and I suppose there are many other such sites). Then they can be transferred to a post on this thread by clicking on the link you will find there.

I am all for color but painting the living room blue can be challenging if
it isn't done right. A lighter blue works probably better than a dark one,
or you have to use a lot of white furniture

As for the red and gold theme, a light beige or vanilla might work

@DMC,
I think yellow would be god color for your walls according to your curtains. And if you have a gold color sofa, then you must have gray color on your room walls.

Don't underrate red. Not so much for the bedroom, but wherever you
want some creative stimulation.

Bronze goes well with red and gold.

@AndrewJayden,
Do you? Really?

This is an international forum. Do you want all walls around the world light blue?

Colors may attract people who don't see them much in daily life. I once lived in a quite misty place, and the whole community seemed to want to set sail for Hawaii.

I highly doubt you have design credentials, AndrewJayden; indeed, I'm waiting for the spam to drop. But while you are here, could you at least be sensible?

Choose the color for bedroom walls depending on the look you want to give it. Deciding on the right color for a wall can be hard choice. Before planning color in personal environment, make a mini questionnaire and poll yourself and your family. My suggestion is to buy a quart of the color paint a swatch on a wall and look at it during different times of day.
