Their Octopus's Garden remains, to me,a link tothe time and place where I first heard it - back in those days when AM radio played pop music- over the Far East Network.
I was wondering when someone would post "Octopus Garden" ...a happy little non-sense song like Yellow Submarine. Good for cheery drives on nice days. Yellow Submarine
How many here can recall The Ballad Of John And Yoko? Every so
often it pops up when I'm busy with chore work.
It's got a great beat.

Here,There,And Everywhere has a sort
of melancholy appeal to me. I wonder what was their inspiration for this, um, enigmatic number?

I really like Love Me Do, All You Need Is Love and Tomorrow Never Knows.
Twist and Shout is my favourite though.

There's a certain kind of mood ...wehre the acoustic guitar creates a mood. My mind wanders to perhaps a french cafe, but then..another series of images floods in.
The sound they make with their breathing when seeing that beautiful sexy girl. Their breath sucks in between teeth ...just reminds me of my teen years when I saw that special girl and gasped. Think Marianne Faithful...Claudine Longet..Brigitte Bardot..etc.
Yes, we all (those who partook of herbal essence) thought that. However, for me the overpowering feeling was about looking at that special someone ..and longing. The guitar chord progressions add to that ...somehow.

@Brandon9000,
Oh! I forgot this one song is the most powerful song of all of theirs for me. I feel a tear welling up even now when I hear it. Especially after having a recent romantic breakup.
