@Ragman,
Thanks, he was a pretty nice guy. Brought back some bad memories for me. Life is way too short.

@jcboy,
this last week has brought me to a decision.

actually, something Bob and I were discussing before he passed...

I am going to get my passport.

I still have some places to see before I'm gone...

@MMarciano,
I won't have much budget for travel on my own any time soon, but I am contemplating signing on as a roadie with an overseas going show. (doubt they go to Puerto Rico, but you never know)

not healthy enough yet to attempt it.

some day, maybe.

for now, I gotta put my stormtrooper helmet on, and go get grimy...

Ima really hate blasting before it's all over.

I got 3 more 80 pound bags of ultra fine sand from the concrete plant. she's kinda thinking I'm not authorized to buy it there, but afraid to push the issue, so I still get it wholesale. attitude counts for a lot...

got plenty o water inside, gonna take a big shower before I eat. don't wanna be eating sand.

Dink saw me bring in another bag of dry food, so he's being extra nice this evening. quiet even...

never did find my respirator. $40 if I don't before I paint. I can blast in a dust mask. (my beard sticks out some, but it washes out.)

this is going to take a while.

my homebuilt compressor is up to the task if I'm patient...

I'm diggin' having a shop environment again, though.

it is much roomier and more organized than my little cabin.

big boys toys to play with...

had to rest the compressor, so I'm eating before I finish...

bought some flax seed today, because I knew I was gonna eat a lot of meat tonight, and wanted something new with my yogurt.

I didn't realize it was milled, but I tried some anyways...

it tasted like, what's the word for it...?

oh yeah.

dust.

bleeaahh...

why does healthy hafta mean tasteless...?

man, I'm really funky.

waiting for my water to heat up so I can shower.

got one fender down to the last level where I will switch to soda from sand.

this is gonna be a longish process, but under all the crappy paint, this is a really nice little bug...

tard.

gonna have some cherries after I get clean, then ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

it feels good to be gritless...

gonna wind down for a few, then crash and burn hard.

muscles ache from blasting and sanding.

dink is already in his spot on the bed waiting patiently for skritches...

nytol.

mr vw's brother and sister are still in town. (they sold the house. that's another post when I feel like getting worked up...)

no showers over there until he lives alone again.

his sister has crohns.

but she is on a different path than I am. and she doesn't have celiac.

she eats constantly. whatever the hell she pleases.

and takes 12 pills a day. (one that is supposed to keep her from messing herself)

I can't bring myself to want that trade-off.

gonna keep limping along focused on diet and stress...

off to work on being a good capitalist.

couldn't do it. too hot.

I been fishing instead. got two buckets full, and am slowly draining the reservoir down to two big puddles. which should be full of fish.

some of the smallish ones are taking a ride through the pump and out the hose to become fertilization for next years garden.

size does matter...

@mismi,

I got prolly 1,000 live ones. maybe more. not done counting yet.

some will be extra wily, and not get caught so they can freeze to death.

nature is harsh...

@mismi,
avoiding capture and suffering from exposure?

I don't think it gets cold enough to freeze in Alabama...

@Rockhead,
nah goofy - being too smart for my own good.

Although...strangely enough I have never been accused of that.

eh - what do folks know?

And yes it does get cold enough to freeze to death in Alabama...it just doesn't stay that cold long enough. That is a GOOD thing for those of us too smart for our own good.
