@Rockhead,
grrrrrrrrrrrrr

indeed. You've got some uglies bearing down on you.

don't they have medicine in the hospital where the kid is housed?

@Eva,
Looks likes the worst of it has passed over Tulsa now. Hears hoping everything is ok in Evaland and surrounds.

Thoughts are with y'all - stay safe. Rock...you need to dig you a storm cellar.

Yes, it is past us now. We had some heavy rain and minor hail, and the sirens went off due to high winds, but nothing more. We ate dinner during the storm. (When Hubby is hungry, nothing is allowed to interfere!)

Looks like there were tornados north and south of town, but nothing hit Tulsa itself. Storm is bearing down on Joplin now, though...poor folks.

the storm heading for Eva has already produced casualties near OKC.

it's an ugly one...

I'm so sorry to read of your troubles, rocky! It must be quite worrying, indeed! I hope you make it through ok.

Hi Eva! Hope you'll be ok, too!

@JPB,
I called the granddaughter in kentuck.

we got to the bottom of it.

smoky is confused and worried.

we aren't leaving the farm tonight.

back to my fish. it's raining again now...

Missy, I got a professional concrete fraidy hole. table and chairs, cards, lights, a sump pump, you name it.

even a shelf of really old food...

we're safe for tonight now. just more rain, I think.

Hey there, Rocky.

Pleased to see that you & your cats are still in one bit. Smile
Fingers crossed that the weather settles down a bit more now.

How are things with Smoky? You say he's confused & worried.
I'm really hoping he's feeling more conciliatory toward you today.

Any news of his son's condition?
I'm hoping you're feeling a whole lot better about that terrible episode now.
I feel a lot happier about you worrying about the weather rather than that.

@msolga,
just talking about the weather, msO...

my worries are still my worries.

smoky and I watched an old movie. Kathy Hepburn and Lorne Greene. a sea movie.

he's kinda lost.

wants to go to town alone for a while. get flowers to take to the cemetery Monday. for his departed wife.

think Ima let him.

I gotta start cleaning up the bedroom.

not quite ready, but gotta go do it anyway.

it will be better if he's gone while I do it...

I got the mattress out of there...

had to go retch.

gonna burn it.

got 4 bags of trash, mostly empty bottles and food wrappers.

I hope he gets some help before he comes back.

I'm gonna give the old man my spare bed to replace the snasty one.

I don't see me having any overnight visitors any more.

hoping for some sunshine tomorrow. in a big way...

Needless to say, I'm glad I no longer live in tornado alley.

Unfortunately, most of the people I know still do.

"Any news of his son's condition?

actually, msO, until they decide to pull him out of the coma, and he starts talking again, I will be unable to relax.

too many folks asking too many questions, and jackboot prints all over the property.

the whole scenario has official and idle local suspicions running at fever pitch.

and I am in the eye of the hurricane, by my own choice.

need some sunshine, we do...

@Rockhead,
I can't really understand the local suspicions, Rocky.
It sounded pretty straightforward to me ....
It's all a bit bewildering, really.
Here's hoping that this can be cleared up very soon & you can relax again.
(No need to discuss this any further if you'd rather not, OK?)

we went to the burn unit yesterday.

smoky can't go alone. too much walking.

I went and got him a chair, and pushed him through the maze. (I used to work there, so I still kinda know my way around.)

big old church hidden in the courtyard...

the granddaughters are coming in. prolly tomorrow.

they can take him with them...

making some mexican food that we will both eat. He's not real fond of my diet either...

and missing my nightly talk with Bob...

Echoing Olga's sentiments here.

Are things finally settling down a bit now?

Haven't heard anything in the news.

we have lovely weather, if you can ignore the constant 30+ mph winds...

did a check on all my fleurs that have been struggling to come up.

over half of my scarlet runner beans are up, and several are vining. and the trumpet creeper is starting to wander as well.

the large black stemmed elephant ear is poking up, and fatter than my thumb. dark violet. the three smallish normal ones are still dormant.

several cannas have poked their heads up, and the cosmos are baby seedlings with fresh sun, as I finally moved the VW that some of you have commented on as a regular feature in the garden pix...

marigolds are about 6 inches, but no buds yet, and the morning glories are starting to sprawl. lilies are taking root and I keep rescuing turtles.

think Ima start giving them italian names. turtleini. bruceshetta. donatello...

moonflowers to transplant on my next venture to mr vw's place.

I'm working today on the plumbing. gonna build a fiberglass basin for the old pitcher pump I'm gonna use as a fountain. set it on a hidden concrete block.

it's a magical place about midnight. from the sky it prolly looks like a small airfield.

poor man's paradise, it is...

oh...

and bubba run away again.

this time she stays outside.

costs too much to undo the fleas. and I can't deal with the stress...

she likes it so far.

no more wet food, but she has kinda become the shop kitty.

and Neptune hasn't taken her out back for the long one way walk yet...

(yes, I now know what happens to the fresh crop of kittens) Sad
