I just sent Set out to get Thai take-out. I am/was not in the mood to cook anything, let alone anything resembling a Thanksgiving meal. Especially when it's a regular work week here.
the tail of this convertible was hit high and hard at some point a long time ago.
above the deck lid was all built from bondo.
I cleaned it all out (it had rust underneath, as did everything else) but the budget calls for refilling it rather than trying to fix the metal.
it is just a 3 inch strip below the top.
but it will take 4 or 5 more applications before we get to approaching proper lines.
and the rear fenders are really rough.
gonna be a lot of filler in them as well, even after I took the hammer to most of the deeper stuff that they had filled up with mud.
this is my least favorite part of the program.
fitting I should start it today, I guess...

@Rockhead,
not in our home office
we're triaging their stuff while working our own heaps
we're already thin on the ground with senior staff as so many people are committed to working on Superstorm Sandy stuff
I learned where a few countries I've barely heard of are
best thing I can do is just throw myself into work.
I feel like somebody when I am making magic in the shop...
6 weeks until a fresh year.

@Rockhead,
Not disposable, recyclable. :::nods:::
Just makes you and your resourceful self available for others to enjoy.
Any chance of using that shop stove as an oven; maybe with a large cast iron dutch oven like the chuck wagon cooks do? Might give you an opportunity to do some baking until your kitchen stove is working again.
