maybe it's the pain pill juicing me, or lack of sleep, but I was just struck by a thought.

A spendius post is a lot like one of those capitol uno ads with the vikings.

it's a weird bouncing ride to be enjoyed briefly on its own merits, but in the end I am left wondering what it really had to do with credit cards.

I went to the local (in town of course) big V store in the strip mall with a huge overhead and lotsa monkeys in training.

was unimpressed when he offered me "sale price" as my upgrade.

not much of a salesman that one...

pain relief has kicked in.

I ran for parts with him, and he stopped for a Nu-Way.


I can't eat there any more, so I had an ice tea and watched folks eat.

then we went to the local import house, and I cut a deal with the owner for my interior and convertible top parts.

and I have half a bug in the back of my truck. found a deal I couldn't pass up. gonna add it to my mini salvage yard.

oh. and I got a rope...

UPS just brought a mystery package to me here at mr vw's place.

a surprise package from a dear old friend...

now I gotta make my oven work.

gonna be doing some baking when it gets colder...

my little mower buddy alvin came down to help me offload the 2 doors, hood, and deck lid I scored today.

and wandered on into the shop to say that he thought I was gonna primer the car. he thought I had painted it gray. (it's mighty glossy for primer, damned 1.7 tip)

but he thought it was ready to go. and I felt just a little taller...

had a tamale pie and a cuppa.

gonna go cut a hole in the roof of his trailer house.

What's wrong with your oven? I thought you had a working one in your summer cabin where you were making pizza and other goodies.

got his chimbley installed, and all he has to do is glue it and screw it to the roof.

then I gotta go back and make a custom inside pipe to make it all work.

but it looks fabulous, and he won't cook hisself on my account...

I was using smoky's oven, but it went wacky and the thermostat won't work right. leaks gas...

gonna try and fix it or get a used stove on the cheap.

my toaster oven works for a baked tater, but not for anything requiring good even heat.

and it's kinda tiny...

I think Ima have a sammich and go sand on some fenders for a bit while I am still reasonably pain numbed.
