paint gun technology has leapfrogged my experience level.

I remember when I bought a stir-cup for metal flake and felt like the king of paint...

havin a cuppa spiced chai while the solvent bath I gave the car dries real nice and thoroughly...

even the moon is right for a good painting experience tonight.

got the gray goop all stirred up.

got my spoon and ladle ready. and my graduated mixing cup.

once I mix the catalyst, I gotta move fast.

it will be rock hard in an hour.

even if it's still in the gun...

smells like old times.

gonna wear a respirator this time around, though.

cleaning my gun and stoking the fire.

it's not perfect, but it will work.

next time I will use my smaller tip. it was kinda like trying to paint with a firkin fire hose...

coupla runs and a sag. but with primer, it's better to miss heavy. I gotta sand it all anyways...

putting some more batteries in the camera.

gonna go shoot some "while it's still wet" pictures.

no more going backwards now.

the rust is part of the past.

it's gonna be a beautiful little car before I'm finished...

it's almost dry...

and there are some ugly spots.

but all the rusty sh*t is sealed under epoxy.

now I can get to work smoothing it out before the color coat.

this is gonna be a really long day...

I went out and checked on it. all cured. no more stoking the stove to keep it in bounds...

and it looks good. for not liking the big tip.

the left front quarter is a mess. lotsa block sanding there to fix the excess paint.

Ima work on getting the fenders in primer tomorrow.

I'm just gonna rest today.

I think whilst I am flush, I wanna get a new phone.

We are with Verizon and like it. All you need is a dumb phone (as my boys call the unsmart phones). Any one would do since you don't text. If you did I would suggest the qwerty slide out keyboard phones. Those seem to work better - to me anyway. But I am a technophobe.
