coupla thoughts on moving up to rigging...

we get the best t-shirts. riggers are always in black. no orange or tan or green...

some shows have started color coding the shirts by department for easier management in the giant traffic jam that is a concert out.

we are always trying to break their out time record. (we get paid the same no matter when we quit)

and there is a definite change in respect level, even from show personnel.

we are the chosen ones...

and there is even rigger humour, but most of it, like sailor humour, is not reprintable on a family forum...

I'll try a clean one here:

when you go to a party with 200 guests, how can you tell which one is the rigger?

A: you won't have to, he will tell you...

what's the difference between a rigger and God?

A: one is an all knowing supreme powerful being.

I finally figured out where our hawkeyes got his name.

in episode 3 and 4, the penguin has two finks.

sparrow and, you guessed it, hawkeye.

mystery solved...

and I spoke briefly with my best jewish friend in nyc.

all is well so far. still hooked to the grid.

so I can now go sandblast before I crash for the night.

tomorrow is day 1 of a 3 day painting window...

ran outta sand.

and bumped into that headache at the base of my skull that means time to quit...

so I slept later than planned, and now I'm just fuzzy.

but it's a beautiful day, and Ima gather my coins and run buy some sand.

I love the solitude of the farm, but I am finding myself lonely at times...

and there are more than 2 sides to me, for sure.

my friend E came out to bring me some gas money for all the trips to town I've made for her bonneville pump fiasco.

she came out on a harley with a friend of hers.

in chaps and fringe. she was having fun.

and he spent a long time admiring the shop.

it has really come together this summer.

a place for building whatever I decide to play with...

might be a good thing. they are back to back, and I might not have been able to move my legs had I done both in the air.

a good paycheck that will be for christmas anyhoo...

and I have moved up.

now I call mr vw to warn him that calls are in the air and he will be getting one instead of the other way around.

It's still verra chilly in my house.

got a radiator heater goin' in the bathroom.

I'll go take a long therapy shower, then go check my bank balance.

rumor has it that the stage deposits have been hitting a day early.

that would not hurt my feelings. {and I could pay my internet bill that I pushed back to the 1st again)

he has an injected type 3 (fastback) that is giving him electrical fits...

yup, he was fit to be tied...

I got him on the right path.

the feed for the cold start injector is crossing over into the #1 injector's harness.

and causing major gas flooding.

I had him unplug the fuel pump and change the oil.

if he can't trace the wires I will go back tomorrow and finish it for him. we try not to get me so involved I need to be paid.

but sometimes it doesn't work that way.

went food shopping. now I'm broke again.

but I won't be hungry whilst I'm poor. nor will the cats. got two weeks worth of food for all of them, inside and outside kitties...

gonna run over to D's and wait for her grandkids to trick or treat, then come home and gear up to paint.

I stopped and got rags and tack cloths, I'm ready to load the guns...

did the halloween thing.

saw a crying gypsy, a sleeping batman, and a bored football player.

oh, and a really hyper corgi puppy...

now Ima have a ham sammich, chips and beans, and go get busy.

it's gorgeous outside, with a big moon rising in the east...

(I gave out welchies fruit snacks instead of candy)
