got the nasty ass old PS pump off. very weird pressure hose fitting. I had to come pull up a picture to make sure where to split it...

and I drained the oil.

no chunks o bearing...

now we gotta determine what that nasty knocking noise is. since we know what it ain't...

been cleaning up some of the smaller tools I got today.

50 assorted clecos and a tool. smokin...

some machining bits, and a tool steel 90 degree piece that I can use as an anvil and form with. weighs about 15 pounds. (I dropped it on my foot)

and a big pipe cutter. for when I do exhaust.

and a center punch, so I can take the one I borrowed from grampa jack back...

I've fallen in love...

with a little feral kitten.

she's just so dang cute. and she pesters me endlessly until I fill their kibble platter.

the 3 older gals send her over to beg...

but she's firkin adorable in her winter coat. grey tan and white back legs.

(she let me pet her a little while she was eating, before the older cats crept in for theirs...)

no longer looks like a cyclone come through.

but I got a large brush pile to cut into kindling. and a pile o logs.

and a big ass headache.

took a pain pill, and a popsicle.

needa slow down a little.

and Ima hafta stop after dark and make something good for dinner.

first I wanna get the rest of the russian olives knocked down.

I may not have to go off the property this year for firewood...

sounds like you get some wicked weather headaches

keep some cheap-ass no-name benadryl on hand, take one if you know the barometric pressure is dropping (a barometer would be a good thing to find at one of your sales)

I don't get allergy symptoms, though...

I get a 3 o'clock headache mostly.

dunno why...

got my trees all cut. there's another big ass pile to be chopped when I can see.

but with the exception of the giant cottonwood by the shop, all the trees left standing are living...

gonna eat and switch to laboring in the shop.

my arms are tired from playing lumberjack...

It's got nothing to do with allergies. It's got to do with the barometric pressure.

I'm not saying no...

I used to have to watch the barometer and adjust the mixture and tire pressure between passes accordingly 20 years ago in a different life.

I still have a triple gauge around here somewheres...

getting a lot done tonight.

gonna hafta shower before I can go bed.

the sawdust was bad enough, but the rust dust is very thick tonight.

working inside the car on the doorjams and dash facing.

gonna sandblast tomorrow, and start priming Tuesday.

very cold wet weather coming for the weekend.

I wanna be all done priming before it gets here, and friday I can put my stove together...
